Dr. Rob Drapala, B. SC, MD, CCFP, Dip. Sport Med. (CASEM)
Clinical Instructor, Division of Sport Medicine

Dr. Drapala is a graduate of our Sport & Exercise Medicine Fellowship program. Rob’s athletic roots began in Track & Field, and he competed for Simon Fraser University while completing his undergraduate degree. Rob has volunteered countless hours for a variety of sporting events, providing game coverage, including the World Masters Games, BC Winter Games, and Ironman Canada. He currently shares the medical care for UBC’s varsity athletes, as well as the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the Vancouver Canucks.

Dr. Drapala’s professional interests include all aspects of child, adolescent and adult Sport & Exercise Medicine with a particular interest in alternative/complimentary injury management (prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma/PRP), ultra-sound guided musculoskeletal injection and soccer medicine. Dr. Drapala is the Chair of our FIFA Soccer Medicine Committee.
