Dr. Navin Prasad, MSc, MD, CASEM, MCFP (SEM)
Associate Professor, Division of Sport Medicine

Dr. Navin Prasad has worked extensively in the Sport Medicine field including being a member of the core medical staff for Team Canada at three summer and one winter Olympic games, five Pan American Games and three Commonwealth Games.  He was the Chief Medical Officer for Canada for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.  Navin has been the Primary Care Team Physician for the BC Lions Football Team since 1995 and Head Team Physician for the Canadian Men’s National Field Hockey Team since 1993.  His research interests include the study of knee OA in athletes as well as well as shoulder problems in overhead athletes.
